Specifically for the 9th issue of WoL magazine, Tatiana Tafintseva interviewed the founder and partner of pop/off/art — Sergey and Olga Popov, who are celebrating the gallery's 20th anniversary. To mark the anniversary, a large‑scale exhibition "Gusts and Breezes" opened at Winzavod, bringing together works by pop/off/art residents. In the interview, the founders shared the story of the gallery's creation and discussed the future of contemporary art.
Sergey shares:
"And although much of the money is concentrated in the capital, our mission is to spread our activities throughout the country and allow other people to join these initiatives. Partnerships with galleries in other cities are important to us."
Olga adds:
"It is really very important that regional artists, collectors, gallerists, and other market actors can gain some necessary professional knowledge in major centers."
You can purchase the new issue of WoL on the website. There you can also find offline sales points for the magazine, including the book corner at pop/off/art 2.0.
