Recently, the Zotov Center and the AZ Museum presented the exhibition "The Path to the Avant‑Garde: Dialogues of Artists in the A‑Ya Magazine."
The exhibition is based on a study of the "Heritage" section of A‑Ya, a magazine of unofficial Russian art edited by Igor Shelkovsky and Alexander Sidorov, published in Paris from 1979 to 1986. It was there that works by many artists of Soviet unofficial art were first published. Among others, the exhibition features works by our artists — Erik Bulatov and Mikhail Roginsky.
On September 27–28, the Zotov Center will host a Video Art Weekend organized as part of the Biennale of Private Collections. It will present works from the collections of eight Russian collectors, in which media art is particularly well represented. Among the authors are Olga Chernysheva and Ivan Plyushch.
At booth D020, under the banner "Dissonance catcher," our colleagues are presenting paintings by Maria Katyanova and photographs by pop/off/art lab artist Polina Rukavichkina from the series "Melting Armour."
