The pop/off/art gallery presents an exhibition by Asia Zaslavskaya, one of the key artists of the younger generation. This new project explores the concept of ephemerality in the context of a conversation about memory, the moment, and miracles. This will be the first solo project at the pop/off/art gallery.
"The Path of Time" is an exhibition about the perception of time — the unique human ability to experience speed and events differently depending on circumstances. The temporal metamorphoses observed by the artist focus attention, among other things, on the motif of the fairytale quality and fragility of events, and on the human ability to change the course of time through willpower. "Distance is not kilometers, not meters, and no longer steps; it is a number of hours, minutes, and seconds"—this is the formula Zaslavskaya uses to explain the phenomenon, which is reflected in the images of a clock face, wildflowers, snow, and fragments.
The exhibition will feature over 30 new works, as well as several reimagined pieces previously featured in the artist's projects (I Know a Spot, 2026, Trapez, Zurich; The Nature of the Future, 2024, Solodovnya Cultural Center, Moscow). Multimedia installations, paintings on icon boards, canvases, and paper, graphics, and embroidery all tap into Asia Zaslavskaya's already recognizable artistic language, which consistently utilizes a variety of media in her practice. "The Path of Time" will not only explore the artist's stated theme but also showcase the artist's technical techniques.
