The Gilyarovsky Center together with the pop/off/art gallery present a solo exhibition of the contemporary artist Asia Zaslavskaya, “Time and Chance for Everyone.” The project will be built around biblical miracles, or more precisely, the area in which they unfold. The artist explores the architecture and fauna of the Russian Orthodox icon. The project consists of works written based on a study of the features of the depiction of landscapes and animals characteristic of ancient Russian and Byzantine icon painting. What was the background and decoration will become the main character in the project space.
The exhibition will feature more than 10 new works from the “City N” and “Ark” series, rhymed with items from the collection of the Museum of Moscow - 18th century stove tiles with images of animals and biblical scenes. The central exhibit, the fork in the exhibition, will be the multimedia installation “The Myth of the Cave.”
Asya Zaslavskaya pays special attention to the emotional connection of the viewer with the work, the direct unique moment of experiencing an installation, painting or object. The chamber exhibition "Time and Chance for All" will be carefully woven into the context of all the author's projects over the past year, will once again emphasize the already recognizable language of the artist, and will invite the viewer to get acquainted with the silent witnesses of miracles.
