Born in 1991 in Moscow. From 2000 to 2005 he was studying at the cadet boarding school “The third Moscow Cadet Corps named after Alexander Nevsky”. In 2005 he started drawing in the streets; in 2011 he worked in the field of documentary photography. In 2016 he graduated from the Department of Directing Theatrical Performances and Сelebrations of Moscow State Institute of Culture. The same year he created his most famous project #littlepeople. In 2018 Ivan Simonov became the winner of the photo contest BEST OF RUSSIA-2017 with the photo of street work created jointly with street artist Kirill Kto. In 2019 he took part in the project “Wall” by the Center for Contemporary Art “Vinzavod” with his work “NETSTEN”(“NOWALLS”) where the author deconstructed the habitual perception of the wall and what is hidden behind it. Simonov participated in various educational programs and residencies including "Open Studios" by the Center for Contemporary Art “Vinzavod”. Lives and works in Moscow.
