ALEXANDER SIGUTIN «Supremuses’ Life» January 22 – February 10 ![]() |
|
Alexander Sigutins’
“Supremuses’ Life” exhibition in pop/off/art gallery applies to relevant issues of non-figurative
as well as figurative art, to the problem of pictorial plasticity origins. Sigutin is a representative of Southern-Russian
trend in contemporary Russian art, who, in the early 90-s, together with Valery Koshlyakov, Yury Shabelnikov, Vladimir
Anzelm, and others started to renew contemporary art vocabulary. Sigutin focuses on interaction of different codes: in
his other exhibitions he showed connection between childish scribbles, modern furniture, and super abstraction.
