The Pop/off/art Gallery, one of the leading galleries of contemporary art, was established in 2004.

The Gallery presents three generations of Russian artists, working in different countries, – from the classics of the Second Avant-Guard and Soc-Art to leading young artists who are gaining world wide recognition. Artists of the Gallery profess an innovative approach to traditional forms of Art – painting, object, photography. Works of all the Gallery artists can be found in museum and public collections all over the world. Many of the Gallery artists have dozens of their works in museum and the most renowned private collections. Among the Gallery artists are participants of prestigious international exhibitions and biennales, laureates of national prizes in the field of contemporary art.

The Gallery carries out projects together with the leading museums: for example, the “Revision of material” exhibition became the largest group show of Contemporary Art in the State Tretyakov Gallery. The Gallery has also collaborated with the State Russian Museum, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the National Centre of Contemporary Art, with public foundations and regional art museums, with a number of foreign art institutions.

The Gallery participated in Art-Fairs such as Cornice (Venice, Italy) and Art Athina (Athens, Greece). In 2008 the Gallery will participate in the Art-Fair “Art-Moscow” for the 4th time (in 2006 pop/off/art was in the top five galleries most successful in sales).
